Teach ON!-line Summer Camp: Faculty development in online and hybrid education in the face of COVID-19

There is no doubt that COVID-19 has changed everything. In March 2020, California moved education to a virtual platform in a rush and F2F learning was not an option. In response to this demand and to be more intentional, the Center for Teaching and Learning at Sacramento State worked together with stakeholders to create the Teach ON!-line Summer Camp. The goals: to build quality online courses; deliver equitable / accessible learning for students; and create campus community around online learning. The result: in summer 2020 nearly 800 faculty received training to build and deliver their courses for fall 2020 and beyond. Come learn suggestions for running large-scale online teaching training from recruiting faculty camp counselors through asynchronous and synchronous delivery.
