How Poll Everywhere went Viral at Stanford

Since in-person classes were cancelled, Stanford University has rapidly transitioned to online learning. Canvas and Zoom are as critical to teaching now as classrooms and overhead screens, but Poll Everywhere is still an optional enhancement. Yet because it can be demoed for faculty easily with screen sharing and permits the sharing of polls and reports between members of Teams, Stanford has added ~1000 new Presenter accounts since March. Demand for tutorials on the more advanced features of Poll Everywhere have also grown. In this session Carlos Seligo will share stories from Human Biology, the Medical and Business Schools, where he has helped teaching teams to coordinate remotely and re-engage their students in large lectures, with this active learning system.
