In April 2020, Cal Poly Pomona's Center for the Advancement of Faculty Excellence (CAFE) moved instructional operations entirely online, due to COVID-19 campus restrictions. CAFE utilized an iterative design (rapid prototype) process that relied on implementing faculty and staff feedback resulting in continuous-accelerated improvement. This approach allowed for a rapid launch, adaptability, and easy adoption of CAFE's Remote Course Design (RCD), an initiative to prepare faculty for fully online instruction. CAFE's new iterative approach allows for scalable product and service launch and implementation. An example of this is CAFE's Quality Matter's 2020 template. This presentation will share the lessons learned from this experience.
