DET/CHE 2020

During the summer of 2020, University of California instructors teaching climate change solutions courses at different campuses asked their students to create capstone projects in the form of narrated video. Students were guided through the process which only required use of their computers and free video editing software. Guidance was provided in the areas of documentary film making, storyboarding, script and narration, and translating scientific information for the general public. This presentation identifies effective practices in facilitating this type of final course project, and user-friendly resources for amazing student videos.
